Washington Golf Packages
With a similar climate to southern British Columbia and great connecting highways, Washington State golf provides a wonderful option for those short weekend golf trips. Whether it’s a jam-packed guys or couples jaunt to Seattle, Kitsap or the Tacoma area or more of relaxing stay on a small lake, this State has it all and its close by. Within a 3-hour trek from Vancouver, more than 40 golf courses are available to play and at all price ranges. A must play is Chambers Bay located just outside of Tacoma.

This coastal links-style course faces Puget Sound and was designed by Robert Trent Jones II. It was built on a site of a former sand and gravel mine making a perfect medium upon which to build a golf course. It opened in 2007 and hosted the U.S. Amateur Championship this last summer (won by Peter Uihlein on his 21st birthday) and will play host to the 2015 U.S. Open Championship. There are no carts allowed on the course unless you have a doctor’s note so be prepared to walk. Two other Tacoma area courses to include in your package are The Home Course and the 36 holes of great golf at Hawk’s Prairie GC. You can not beat this line-up! Stay in Tacoma at lovely the Hotel Murano for the complete stay and play package.
For something off the beaten path, experience Port Ludlow with its waterfront charm, wonderful dining, 18-holes of championship golf, exquisite accommodations and much more. Only a short ferry ride and drive from Seattle, this destination is also great for corporate retreats with plenty of meeting space and outdoor activities. Esquire Magazine called the Port Ludlow golf course ‘the most scenic in the World’.
